After almost 8 years, I’m still virtually neuropathy pain free.

NOTE; Imbue is not making claims as to the use of CBD, but rather providing personal experience to provide information to others experiencing peripheral neuropathy. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any disease.

Many of you may be familiar with the fact that for years I’ve suffered with peripheral neuropathy. And you may also have read earlier blogs and emails from me talking about how our products have been an absolute godsend for me. So I thought it would appropriate to provide an update as I approach year 8 of using our products for my peripheral neuropathy.

More than 20 million people in the U.S. are estimated to have some form of peripheral neuropathy. Peripheral neuropathy develops when nerves in the body's extremities, such as the hands and feet, are damaged. And it can cause excruciating pain. Diabetes is the most common cause of peripheral neuropathy, but it can also be caused by other health conditions and certain medications. Mine is from a medication I’ve been taking since 1999 and affects my feet.

As some of you may know, the motivation for starting Imbue Botanicals was to find a solution to my  progressive peripheral neuropathy. In early 2016 I had reached a point where none of the available medical or pharmaceutical solutions were proving effective any longer and I was at wits end.  I literally stumbled on CBD just after the 2014 Farm Bill increased access to low-THC hemp. The search for relief from this debilitating condition resulted in the formulation of our first topical and oral products, and the results for me personally have been nothing short of astonishing. Now some 8 years later, I’m delighted to say that these very same products continue not only to provide relief from neuropathy but allow for a virtually neuropathy pain-free life without side effects that sometimes accompany pharmaceutical options.

Concomitant therapy plays a role.

But I also credit my experience to the use of more than one of our products. Concomitant therapy refers to the use of more than product or treatment used concurrently.

For CBD, concomitant therapy works best when you combine a topical with an ingestible product. You’ve Specifically, we recommend that if you’re using a lotion or salve, you should consider using capsules, gummies or tinctures in combination.  The idea is that by taking CBD in multiple forms, you can actually see an improvement in overall results. And while this may seem counterintuitive to use two products at once, in reality, it isn’t. Many of our customers report improved results, and from my own personal experience, it definitely seems to work. While I’ve used most of our products in combination over the last several years, I currently use our 50 mg gummies and our CBD lotion.

Certainly, results can vary and we’re not claiming CBD is the answer for everyone, but for me, I am SO glad I discovered how much CBD, and specifically our proprietary formulations have helped.

All the best,

Tom
