Why We’ve Introduced Our Exceptionally-unique Supplement-infused CBD Raw Honey Tinctures

A combination of ingredients that are simply unmatched…

At Imbue, we’ve always been on the forefront of CBD tinctures. While everyone else was using oil-based tinctures, we pioneered CBD vegetable glycerin tinctures that provided faster absorption and greater bioavailability. But now we’ve outdone ourselves! Our unique honey tinctures are the result of a collaborative effort between Sweet Cheeks Farm and Apiary and Imbue Botanicals. Our collective passion for providing the finest in organic products and natural solutions to health have led us to create a line of supplement-enhanced raw honey with the power of CBD.

And best of all, they taste unbelievably GREAT! We start with our exceptionally high-quality raw honey, naturally rich in antioxidants which can help improve blood pressure, and lower cholesterol and triglycerides. Then combine it with our Colorado grown, proprietary CBD, rich in terpenes and cannabinoids for an unbeatable combination.

The imaginative flavors and immune-boosting natural supplements are carefully crafted to deliver truly outstanding taste and promote good health. But there’s much more to the story…

Not Just Any CBD

At imbue, the CBD we use in ALL our products is proprietary. It begins with the extraction process. We are traditionalist when it comes to processing our oil. We believe that Rick Simpson was correct when he formulated his RSO (Rick Simpson Oil) which was extracted with grain alcohol (ethanol).

Ethanol is effective, efficient, and safe to handle. The FDA classifies ethanol as “Generally Regarded as Safe,” or GRAS, meaning that it is safe for human consumption. As a result, it is commonly used as a food preservative and additive, found in everything from the cream filling in your donut to the glass of wine you enjoy after work. The ethanol we use is pharmaceutical grade, refined from organic sugar cane.

Ethanol doesn’t require high pressure like the other two popular solvents, supercritical CO2 and butane and it produces a full-spectrum concentrate. So, not only are you drawing out the big-name cannabinoids (CBD/THC) and heavy in terpenes, but you’re also getting the components that are present in much smaller concentrations – some of which haven’t been studied or even discovered yet, but likely play into the interactive synergy between cannabis compounds. This has been coined the “entourage effect”, and we at Imbue strongly believe that it’s this holistic (“full-spectrum”) interplay between plant parts that contributes to our enhanced therapeutic experience. And each bottle contains a full 500 mg of CBD.

Why Raw Honey?

First thing people ask when they hear about these unique tinctures is why use raw honey as a carrier? Most importantly, raw honey has antibacterial and antimicrobial properties making it an effective treatment for infections. Interestingly, honey has been used medicinally for centuries. The first recorded reference to honey being used in medicinal preparations is on a Sumerian tablet dating from around 2000 BCE as an ingredient in a wound salve. You're probably familiar with using hydrogen peroxide on cuts to prevent infection. As it turns out, raw honey contains an enzyme that naturally produces hydrogen peroxide by breaking down glucose sugars. Combined with the antimicrobial benefits of CBD, this elevates these tinctures to a whole new level.

But the benefits of raw honey don’t stop there. Raw honey is rich in antioxidants. Raw honey contains over 30 different polyphenols, 22 amino acids, and a wide variety of vitamins and minerals. The polyphenols are responsible for raw honey's high level of antioxidants, which help your body protect itself against free radicals (and therefore are thought to improve overall health).

Last but least in our decision to use honey is that raw honey contains inflammation-fighting pollen. Pollen adds nutritional value by adding fatty acids, vitamins and minerals, and amino acids, and has been shown to fight inflammation, improve liver function, and possibly prevent heart disease and stroke.

And it tastes great! One thing people tend to complain about when it comes to CBD tinctures is taste. And while ours at Imbue do taste better due to the vegetable glycerin we use as a carrier, oil-based tinctures, which make up virtually every other tincture offering out there, tend to taste plain awful. Using raw honey elevated the taste experience, making taking your daily “medicine” a much sweeter experience!

Now Come the Supplements!

While we could have stopped there with our raw honey-based tinctures, we didn’t. Combining the CBD and honey with a host of other beneficial supplements not only provide genuinely unique and exciting flavor profiles but adds to the cadre of health benefits. We offer these tinctures in 5 (count them), 5 exceptional different flavor/supplement combinations.
